Some snaps after she was stable
I was on my way to hostel i saw people gathered in circle, What unusual was someone crying there i peaked a little saw a didi 25-6F standing still confused making some calls , that was her young sister 23F sitting aside her weeping not very conscious seems as if she has low BP her body was stiff she was unable to move was unresponsive, all gathered people were standing still.
People were glaring over that distressed girl, noone was responding just reacting to situation. i knew i had to do something.
Thanks to civil defense volunteership I knew exactly what i had to do, i asked the crowd to give a little space to the girl so that she could breathe air and flow could be improved. I grabbed a notebook from my bag and used it to blow air,
I gently asked her to take some deep breth and be calm everything's gonna be okay, i showed my id card and asked people and didi if can help, at that time i didn't knew if she was having any panic attack or any severe medical condition?
with their permission i called an ambulance and provided them clear brief about the situation, I gently rubbed her hands which were freezed and were not showing any movements, i asked her about her most recent meal she told me that was around 12:00 PM she had light breakfast
I was little shoked, I knew she needs to be hydrated and must have glucose or ORS solution asap, unfortunately there was no medical shop nearby , but i saw a juice shop so i immediately ordered a glass of sugarcane juice it as glucose, mint and nibu, while they were making it i blew air using my notebook 📒 also i asked didi to drink water and relax everything's gonna be okay.
I checked up on ambulance 🚑 they were very near, before they could arrive the juice was ready i gave it to her, now she was conscious and little responsive still wasn't able to stand up or walk, the ambulance arrived the doctor onboard checked her and confirmed sevier dehydration Low BP and panic, they told she'll be fine she needs some bottles and injections she'll be just fine.
That was out of my expertise so with the permission of didi and ambulance staff I left after making sure she's fine. Didi thanked me many times also the glimpse of little sister gave me reassurance she's fine, people near me were also relived.
I did nothing extraordinary but the fact that I was able to help makes feel happy from inside, out of all the people who couldn’t help… I feel the significance of civil defence training, every peope must volunteer into such programs and learn essential life saving techniques.
Thar aim of writing and sharing incidence is to spread awareness and hope so that anyone of my age could build the courage to help, not to hesitate.
I pray to lord hanuman, give us courage so that we could help whenever we can,
